Regina George – Histrionic Personality Disorder

This video postulates the notion that the movie character Regina George may suffer from Histrionic Personality Disorder. Regina George is the main antagonist in the 2004 hit movie Mean Girls. According to DSM-5, Histrionic Personality Disorder as a pattern of excessive emotionality and attention seeking. The diagnostic criteria state the individual is uncomfortable in situations in which he or she is not the center of the attention. In the movie, Regina is depicted a mean popular girl who gets what she wants. In the movie, she sabotages her friends, she does not mind if her friends turn against each other (Gretchen, Katy, and Karen), and she makes up rumors about one of her peers (Janis) by saying she is weird.
