American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Statement

Academic Media Solutions makes every effort to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA, Section 504) which requires print or text-based materials used by students/individuals with documented disabilities, to be made available in an alternate format. Today, alternatives usually consist of a digital copy of the material, either for direct use by the student or to create the appropriate end-user format (i.e., Braille, large print, audio).

NOTE TO STUDENTS AND STUDENT ACCESSIBILITY COORDINATORS: Please go to our eCommerce website to register and purchase the Online eBook version of the required textbook.

For each of our titles, we offer this affordable option/format of our core textbooks ("Online eBook") and/or select student study aids that were also designed for students covered under the ADA. Our online eBook platform is PDF-based and can be used with a variety of text-to-voice software platforms and web browsers that offer that functionality. These platforms are designed to convert required course materials into an accessible and unencrypted electronic format solely for the use of students covered under the ADA. In addition, the eBook platforms of our distributors Chegg, VitalSource, and Redshelf offer very robust voice-to-text functionality.

All other PDF requests must be submitted to Academic Media Solutions by the institution's office of Student Accessibility/Student Disability Services using the below request form. To get access to a PDF version of our textbooks, the student must purchase their textbook directly from Academic Media Solutions, provide proof of purchase, and be registered with us. All requests will be confirmed and addressed in a timely manner.

If you have a specific ADA request or question, please use the contact form below. Thank you.
